Six criteria every tool
must pass. No exceptions.
We built our vetting framework by talking to 200+ enterprise IT directors, procurement managers, and CTOs about what actually blocks AI adoption inside large organizations. Most tools don't make it past two.

What we actually check
Every criterion below is independently verified — we don't take a vendor's word for it.
Enterprise pricing
Published seat-based or usage pricing with volume discount tiers. No "contact sales" black boxes — you need budget approval before the first vendor call.
Security posture
Current SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 audit report, penetration test within 12 months, and a documented data retention and deletion policy. We verify, not just ask.
Compliance certifications
Each listing is tagged for GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and CCPA readiness. Filter to only show tools your legal and compliance team can greenlight on first review.
Vendor stability
We check funding runway, customer churn signals, and founding team background. You shouldn't build critical workflows on a tool that's 6 months from shutdown.
Documented ROI
At least two verifiable case studies with named enterprise customers, measurable outcomes, and time-to-value benchmarks. "Up to 10x faster" doesn't cut it.
Enterprise integrations
Native SSO, SCIM provisioning, and API access as baseline requirements. We also map integrations with Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, and Microsoft 365.
Why the bar is this high
Directories built on submissions optimize for volume.
We optimize for confidence.
Most AI tool directories list anything that pays a fee or fills out a form. That works for discovery — it fails the moment your procurement, security, and legal teams get involved. NexusGrade exists so an enterprise buyer can trust a listing on sight, without re-doing the vetting work themselves.
No pay-to-play
Listings are merit-based. A vendor cannot buy or upgrade their way past any of the six criteria.
Re-verified, not one-and-done
Certifications and evidence are checked against current documentation, not a snapshot from the original application.
Independent editorial judgment
Meeting the technical bar isn't enough — a practitioner panel confirms the tool genuinely belongs in the top tier of its category.
